fucked up little cocktail is a poetry series created to communicate to those things and to those people who disregarded my truth, ignored my voice, and robbed me of my authenticity. i like her is the first collection of the series and starts with childhood trauma. Many written to my dad, this collection contains raw, emotional pieces. Woven into these pieces is a story . . . a story about a girl who, after exiting a challenging childhood, spending years in crack addiction, and then burying her own child, sought healing through therapy, spiritual practices, and writing. As I wrote, I healed, and my hopes are that others may also find some comfort and healing within my work.
